Mesothreads have a long-lasting effect on the skin surface. The mini-invasive method uses methreads, short threads in the shape of a spiral. They are applied to the superficial layers of the skin and their main function is to strengthen the skin. The result is a tightening of wrinkles on the face and a perfect subdivision of the skin. The fibers are applied to the skin along the wrinkles and facilitate the filling of the wrinkles with the newly formed collagen.
The procedure is especially suitable for women over 40, when the decline of facial skin is due to age, poor lifestyle or genetics.
It is a non-invasive, outpatient procedure without the use of a scalpel. Bruising and mild swelling may occur after the procedure. The procedure requires a short convalescence: 2-3 days. It is ideal to perform the procedure before the weekend.
It is performed with special cannula sutures. The fixed sutures are inserted with a cannula into the area that begins to fall, especially in the cheek or jaw area. It can be combined with the application of hyaluronic acid or with the application of mesothreads. The skin is plumped up and filled in.
The procedure is especially suitable for women over 40, when the decrease in facial skin is due to age, an unfavourable lifestyle or genetics.
The non-invasive, outpatient procedure is performed without a scalpel. After the procedure, bruising and mild swelling may occur. No masks or headbands need to be worn during or after the procedure. Some parts of the face are only lightly taped with a special adhesive bandage. It is ideal to perform the procedure before the weekend.
It is performed with two types of APTOS lifting threads.
Thread lifting reshapes the face in a minimally invasive way and restores volume without a scalpel. It leaves no scars and the threads can be applied to all areas of the face and neck, resulting in a fresher, more youthful appearance. Recovery time is minimal. The thread facelift offers a combination of two effects: Lifting and Regeneration.
The lifting effect is immediate and discreet, as it results from the compression of the tissue and the lifting of the skin at the moment of thread implantation. Once the threads are in place, the doctor applies light pressure to the treated area, reshaping and visibly smoothing the surface of the skin.
The regenerative effect is gradual: the main component of APTOS threads is polylactic acid (PLLA), a well-known polymer used in many biomedical and pharmaceutical applications: Suture threads, orthopedic pins, rods, screws and fracture nails. PLLA is particularly well tolerated by humans and is also completely biodegradable. By being absorbed, it works in the deeper layers of the skin and stimulates the body to produce its own collagen. Over time, it helps to increase the volume of sagging areas and restore facial symmetry.
The non-invasive, outpatient procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Bruising, mild swelling or small bumps or lumps on the skin may occur and disappear within a week.
The foxy-eye effect is achieved by twisting the skin in the eye area, as applying a thread lift to the outside of the eyebrows lifts the deeper part of the face. The lifting is a prevention against skin aging and collagen production is restored at the application sites.
The procedure is intended for younger clients, because from the age of about 40 years, the tissue in the cellular area becomes weaker, the skin is finer and thinner, more mobile, so the threads have little support, they can show through, and especially in older women, the eyebrows look very strangely slanted.
After administering a local anesthetic, firm lifting threads are inserted into the area of the outer part of the forehead. The area is then fixed with special plasters, which must be worn for several days until the swelling subsides.
If the client has significant facial activity in the forehead area, we usually use botulinum toxin first and then perform the procedure in up to two weeks. This prevents the threads from slipping or creating asymmetry. Be prepared for swelling after the procedure, especially in the area of the application, but bruising may also occur on the upper eyelids as this area is heavily congested.
