The treatment is performed in two complementary steps that work together to create a powerful synergistic effect.

In the first phase, the Nd:YAG laser penetrates into the deeper layers of the dermis, where it stimulates collagen production, improves microcirculation, and tightens lax tissue without disrupting the skin’s surface. In the second phase, the Er:YAG laser gently remodels the skin’s surface, improving its texture, refining pores, and reducing fine lines. The skin is also brightened and its tone becomes more even. This combination allows both the underlying causes of skin ageing and its visible signs to be addressed in a single treatment.

Conventional IPL photorejuvenation uses broad-spectrum light that acts primarily on the skin’s surface. Fotona TwinLight uses a medical laser with precisely controlled energy, allowing it to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and deliver more targeted and longer-lasting results. The treatment is more precise and effective while also being safe for more demanding skin types.

The treatment is performed following a consultation with a physician, who individually adjusts the parameters according to the client’s skin type and treatment goals.

The procedure itself takes approximately 45–60 minutes and consists of two steps: deep tissue stimulation followed by superficial skin remodelling.

Mild redness may occur after the treatment and usually subsides within a few days. With more intensive settings, mild skin peeling may occur. Strict protection from sun exposure with SPF 50 is an essential part of post-treatment care.

Active inflammatory skin disease in the treatment area, active herpes, pregnancy, tanned skin, oncological disease, anticoagulant therapy, diabetes mellitus, suspected malignant skin tumour, autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular or pulmonary disease, blood clotting disorders, hypertension, epilepsy, febrile conditions, treatment with retinoids /Roaccutane/ within the past 6 months, and a tendency towards pathological healing. At least 1 week before and after the treatment, topical products containing retinol/retinal should also be excluded from the skincare routine.
