Preservation Facelift represents a new generation of surgical facial rejuvenation based on the principles of longevity, respect for natural anatomy and preservation of the structures that define the face. Why the Preservation approach
Classic facelift techniques often involve separating the skin and tightening it afterwards. The Preservation approach goes in the opposite direction – it preserves, respects and repositions. This results in a more natural outcome, less tension in the face and a longer-lasting effect.

Preoperative preparation
After consultation with the surgeon, the patient arranges all necessary preoperative examinations. For optimal recovery, we recommend:
• Do not smoke at least 21 days before the surgery.
• Do not consume alcohol at least 10 to 14 days before the surgery.
• Maintain excellent overall health condition.
• Stop taking blood-thinning medications (or replace them after consultation with a doctor).
Procedure
Facelift is performed under local anesthesia or sedation, which we prefer due to easier recovery, or under general anesthesia and takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. In combination with other procedures: 4 to 5 hours. The most commonly requested and preferred combination is a facelift with a neck lift, but it can also be combined with other procedures (e.g. brow lift, eyelid surgery, chin liposuction).
Recovery
• Immediately after the procedure: If its performed under general anesthesia the patient stays under care at the clinic for the following night, where they are carefully monitored and provided with maximum comfort in our premium inpatient facility.
• The next morning after the procedure: The patient leaves for home care accompanied by a close person.
• First days: Swelling and bruising may occur and usually subside within 10 to 14 days. These symptoms are normal and typically improve within the first few days.
• Daily activities: The patient can return to normal activities after 2 weeks, during which rest at home is recommended.
• Physical activity: Intense exercise is allowed after 4 weeks.
• Follow-up visits: The first after 10 to 14 days (stitch removal) and the second after 3 months.
• Final results: Become visible after several months once the tissues fully settle.
The healing process is individual and depends on the patient’s regenerative ability and adherence to postoperative instructions.
Possible complications
As with any surgical procedure, there are certain risks associated with facelift. The client is thoroughly informed about all possible complications during consultation. The most common risks include:
• Infection: May occur due to insufficient wound hygiene.
• Scarring: Final scars are usually well hidden within the hairline.
• Sensitivity changes: Sensitivity of the forehead or eyebrows may be temporarily altered during healing.
• Nerve involvement: Manipulation near facial nerves may cause partial dysfunction, which usually resolves over time.
