Skin resurfacing

Skin renewal through the most modern laser treatments

Resurfacing is a modern laser dermabrasion, an abrasion of the skin surface. After treatment, the skin is rejuvenated, firmer, healthier, has an even tone and texture, while stimulating the formation of new collagen. The treatments are also effective in removing acne scars, hyperpigmentation, porous skin, dark circles under the eyes and fine surface wrinkles. We offer deep resurfacing with a fractional CO2 laser or more subtle resurfacing, which we perform with the FOTONA laser or the Erbium laser.

These laser treatments can treat the face, but also the skin of the neck, décolleté, shoulders, hands or even breasts.
We perform the procedure in the form of a micropeel - face refresh or classic resurfacing.

Who is the treatment for?

Clients with:

- Scars after acne.

- Hyperpigmentation of the skin.

- Fine surface wrinkles.

- Skin with pores and oily skin.

- Circles and wrinkles under the eyes.

- Rejuvenation of dehydrated (wrinkled) and aging skin, when we talk about non-invasive resurfacing - rejuvenation of the skin without the use of a scalpel.

During the treatment

The anesthetic cream is applied to the area to be treated for about 60 minutes. It numbs the skin for a short time. Painkillers or sedatives may also be used for more sensitive people. After the skin is numbed, the area is treated gradually by area.

Duration of treatment: a complete treatment takes about 20-30 minutes. The duration of the treatment depends on the size of the treated area, the density of the laser beams and the depth of penetration of the beam into the skin.

The final effect takes place in two phases:

1st phase: Immediately after the procedure - when the skin is applied.

2nd phase: Comes after 3-6 months, when the new collagen is formed - which leads to an effect called lifting - elastic skin.

How many treatments do I need?

The number of treatments is individual and depends on the "start-up" look of the skin - the depth of scars or wrinkles, the amount and depth of pigmentation, the age of the client and, of course, the effect the client wants to achieve. Most of the time a single treatment is enough, but for a better and more obvious effect sometimes 2 or 3 treatments are needed.

Recovery

You may feel a slight burning sensation during and after the gentler laser treatments with the FOTONA and ERBIUM lasers, but the treatment does not require a longer recovery period. The next day you can comfortably switch to your classic routine. Creams with UV factor are a daily part of the skin care after laser.

With a fractional laser, the skin turns red immediately after the procedure, you will feel a burning sensation like after a sunburn. One or two days after the procedure, you may experience slight swelling of the skin, especially around the eyes. After two days, dark crusts will form and gradually peel off. This process takes about 7 days and you should stay at home during the treatment. After that, the skin is reddened and takes on its natural shade within a few weeks. A week after the procedure, the skin is still slightly pink and more sensitive to touch. It is necessary to use protective creams with UV factor. In rare cases, especially if the instructions for protecting the skin from sunlight are not followed or if the skin is sensitive to light during the healing phase, color irregularities may appear on parts of the treated area, which usually disappear a few months after the procedure.

Important information

Do not touch the treated areas for the first 24 hours, except for normal hygiene, skin cleansing and application of the recommended SPF 50+ creams. Also, avoid any physical activity.

We recommend visiting a beauty salon, sauna, solarium or using botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid no earlier than 2 weeks after treatment. Avoid direct sunlight for up to 3 months after laser treatment.

A common reaction to the treatment is redness, swelling, blisters, burns, superficial wounds, rattling, itching, burning, sensations or pain in the treated areas, which will spontaneously disappear within a week if healing is problem-free.

The client must inform his doctor, who prescribes the necessary therapy, of any side effects that last longer than a week. In extreme cases, this therapy can last for several months.

Especially after the fractional skin resurfacing treatment, the following points should be observed:

Within 6 hours after treatment, burning, itching, redness, oozing and slight bleeding may occur at the treatment sites. Apply tiles on them - rape, chamomile or boric water.
On the second day after treatment, swelling, especially in the area of the upper and lower eyelids, and the gradual formation of rales are normal. A strong feeling of tightness of the skin is also common. Treat it 2-3 times a day with boric water and then apply an epithelializing cream (Cicaplast, Cicaderma, Cicalfate).
On the 2nd to 10th day after treatment, the rattles gradually fall off (do not pull them off forcefully, but let them fall off spontaneously), the swelling disappears. Continue the treatment with boric water and epitalizing cream.
You will not feel sensitive skin until a few weeks after the treatment, persistent redness is also normal. Apply the cream with SPF 50+ several times a day and gradually start grading your usual cosmetic products.
